I received an undergraduate degree in psychology in 2001 from Grand Canyon University and a graduate degree in occupational therapy in 2003 from Midwestern University with a specialty certification in the area of brain injury. Since that time, I have worked in a variety of settings with both children and adults with various challenges. Occupational therapy is a highly diverse field and as such, I have been afforded the opportunity to explore a variety of specialty, non-traditional practice areas that support overall development, health, and wellness for patients and clients of various ages.
In 2008, I completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training and subsequently received additional training in specialty areas including prenatal yoga, yoga for older adults, kids' yoga, and yoga therapy.
Lastly, I received certification as a pediatric massage therapist in 2015 and have provided instruction on massage therapy benefits and techniques to parents with children from birth to school age.
